B.S.E.E, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ
M.Div., Biblical Theological Seminary, Hatfield, PA
Though active in church as a young child, Ron became a skeptic by the time he was in college. Technically oriented, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University after which he joined IBM in systems and marketing of mainframe computers. While there, he met Ingrid Erklev, to whom he was married in 1969. Ingrid came to the Lord the next year and and Ron’s skepticism was challenged by the testimony of her changed life. After a year and a half of analytic study, Ron came to the Lord and two years later left IBM to pursue full time ministry, graduating from Biblical Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and was then ordained. Ron served as associate pastor at Warrington (Pennsylvania) Fellowship Church and afterwards as senior pastor of Evangel Baptist Church in Springfield, NJ. Seeking to emulate the model of Paul, he left pastoring to minister outside the church and started a consulting business, Computer Support of North America, to provide income for his self supporting ministries. CSNA grew and was acquired in 1991. He was involved with starting a new seminary in New Jersey (the first in NJ in 140 years), Regional Seminary of the Northeast, and was president for nine years. In 1993, Ron founded Radixx International, Inc. which provides reservations systems to over forty airlines on five continents. In 2019, the firm was acquired by Sabre Corporation. Ron is currently Chairman and CEO of The Gathering USA and speaks and teaches extensively to Bible studies, churches, and other groups.
